Our Yoga Teacher Training program is for yoga practitioners who have a love for yoga born out of practice. We help these practitioners develop the skills needed to share yoga with students as professional teachers. | ![]() |

You must meet the following requirements to take our program: -At least two years of yoga practice (at least six months of classes with a certified instructor.) -The ability to demonstrate an experiential understanding of yoga practice and its benefits. The training is taught in nine intensive weekends, and class size is limited to 20 students. This format supports students having time to integrate the material, complete homework, and prepare for assigned practice teach sessions. A cap of 20 students is conducive to an interactive student/teacher relationship. In the first half of the program students will learn an effective methodology for teaching postures and pranayamas (breathing exercises). They will learn 25 postures and five pranayamas that are appropriate for beginning level students. In the second half of the program they will learn to design and lead three kinds of classes: a vinyasa workout class, a meditative posture class, and a gentle stretch class. Our graduating teachers are prepared to teach in a variety of settings. All sessions of each weekend must be attended and full participation in each session is required. Session times are: Fridays, 6:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.; Saturdays, 8:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.; Sundays, 8:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. (Trainings offered at locations other than Radiant Well-being Yoga Center may have a different daily schedule. Actual training hours does not change.) -Tuition for this program is $2,000 if taken at Radiant Well-being Yoga Center. Price may be higher at affiliated studios to cover travel and overhead expenses. -Students are also required to purchase the book Anatomy of Movement, by Blandine Calais-Germain, Eastland Press. -During the training each participant is required to take 15 classes from a variety of certified teachers and fill out an observation form after each class. The cost of these classes is in addition to the tuition. The program is taught by Yoganand Michael Carroll, ERYT-500. Some sessions may be led by other Pranakriya program directors or teachers. Pranakriya Basic 200-hour YTT is registered with the Yoga Alliance and meets or exceeds all its requirements for 200-hour teacher training programs. "Students in the program work hard, have a great time and leave the program fully prepared to teach in the real world." -Yoganand Michael Carroll "My spirituality has grown leaps and bounds from this course. The experience is immeasurable." -Machelle McCann You may register for the YYT training at Radiant Well-being Yoga Center by calling 803 613-0684, or click here to download a printable registration form. |
